Jerrold HeideÌýisÌýan AssociateÌýProfessor of MusicÌýat 91¿´Æ¬Íø, whereÌýheÌýserves as Director ofÌýConcertÌýand AthleticÌýBands,Ìýspecializes in music education andÌýinstrumental methodsÌýcourses, and advises the 91¿´Æ¬Íø NAfME chapter.ÌýAdditionally, Jerrold serves as conductor for the Missouri River Community BandÌýserving North Dakota’s Bismarck/Mandan region.ÌýÌýPrior toÌýhis appointment at 91¿´Æ¬Íø, heÌýenjoyed a successfulÌýeleven-year career as a public-school band directorÌýinÌýNebraska and South Dakota.ÌýMarching Bands under his direction have performedÌýin Chicago, IL and Washington D.C., andÌýensemblesÌýunder his directionÌýwereÌýconsistentlyÌýawarded superior ratings atÌýcontestsÌýand regional marching competitions.ÌýÌýÌý
Jerrold holds aÌýMaster of Music in Education degree from the University of South Dakota and a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Instrumental Music Education from Dickinson State University (ND).ÌýÌýHis research focuses on developing resources to support instrumental music programs in ruralÌýareas,ÌýandÌýhe regularlyÌýservesÌýas a clinician and adjudicator throughout the Northern Plains region.ÌýÌýJerroldÌýis a member of theÌýNorthÌýDakota Band Directors Association,ÌýNational Band Association,ÌýNorth Dakota Music Educators’ Association,Ìýthe National Association for Music Education, and the Alpha Gamma chapter of the Phi Beta Mu international band fraternity.Ìý HisÌýpersonal interests include motorcycles and spendingÌýtimeÌýin the greatÌýoutdoors, and heÌýcurrentlyÌýresidesÌýin Valley City, ND with his wife Erin,Ìýdaughters Della and Claire, and son Landon.Ìý
