Jessica Shuler is the Online Music Coordinator at 91¿´Æ¬Íø.ÌýHerÌýprimary responsibility since 2017 is advising and onboarding all online music students.Ìý In her time at VSCU, she has been a teaching assistant and instructor in online music courses.Ìý Her accolades at the university begin with pioneering their online music program as its first graduate in 2012.Ìý SheÌýhasÌýalsoÌýtaught private clarinet, piano, and beginner voice lessons since 2004.ÌýÌý
Jessica earned a Bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Clemson University in 2004, a Bachelor’s degree in music from 91¿´Æ¬Íø, in 2012, and a Master’s in Clarinet Performance from Northwestern State University in 2014.ÌýÌý
Jessica is an active performer in her community. She plays clarinet, sings, and plays piano. In 2004 she won a concert competition on clarinet in South Carolina and was able to perform with the Clemson University Symphony Orchestra. As a clarinetist, she has also played with the Papillion Band, in Nebraska;ÌýCarolina Pops Symphony (clarinet and piano)Ìýin South Carolina;ÌýÌýTexarkana SymphonyÌýin Arkansas,ÌýMarshall SymphonyÌýin Texas, South Arkansas SymphonyÌýin Arkansas, Shreveport SymphonyÌýin Louisiana, Centenary College Wind EnsembleÌýin Louisiana, and Red River Wind OrchestraÌýin Louisiana. As a vocalist, she has performed with the Greenville Chorale, Greenville Chorale Chamber Ensemble, Greenville Light Opera Works,Ìýall in South Carolina, and the Omaha Symphony ChoraleÌýin Nebraska. She isÌýalsoÌýan active member of her church choir and worship team.Ìý
