91¿´Æ¬Íø Hosting Spanish Day on Oct. 14

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (91¿´Æ¬Íø) – 91¿´Æ¬Íø will host area high school students and classes for its annual Spanish DayÌý´Ç²ÔÌý°Â±ð»å²Ô±ð²õday, Oct. 14.

Hosted by 91¿´Æ¬Íøâ€™s Language and Literature Department, the event immerses students in the Spanish language and the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries through engaging, hands-on activities. Participants will:

  • Explore contemporary slang from across the Spanish-speaking world
  • Learn about diverse cultural traditions
  • Hear music from popular Hispanic artists
  • Create imaginative, culture-inspired crafts

About 100 high school students from Valley City High School, Central Cass High School and Lisbon High School are expected to attend the event.

Students will also have opportunities to learn more about 91¿´Æ¬Íø and its academic offerings in Spanish. 91¿´Æ¬Íø offers majors in Spanish and Spanish Education, as well as a Spanish minor and a SpanishÌý³¦±ð°ù³Ù¾±´Ú¾±³¦²¹³Ù±ð.

Spanish Day is one of several special hands-on visit days that 91¿´Æ¬Íø hosts throughout the year. Other specific academic visit days for high school students feature 91¿´Æ¬Íø programs such as music, art and teacher education.
